Kieren is 6!
« on: October 20, 2016, 12:35:24 PM »

With all our running to the vets with Daegan, I have not kept up with Kieren's info.  At 6, he barely has anything more than sugar lips, he is trim and healthy.  He is now the only dog in the house.  I am getting itchy and wondering if HE is ready for a playmate?!

Oh, Kieren!! I am so sorry I missed this! Very happy belated Birthday wishes!!!

Joanne, when Tonks was critical, I had concern about the time I couldn't spend wih Jazz and Herk.  Then, Jazz was chronic and I couldn't give Herk barely any personal attention.  Once we said good-bye (no such thing) to Jazz, it was evident he missed another canine in the house.  Me, too.   We actually had been searching since Tonks left us, but, now, things were pretty dreary.  I was concerned about herk's age --being 10 yrs--but, you know...it was the BEST decision for him.  I love seeing him run with his tail up and ears flapping, right along with Rio.  We do limit the time he runs with her, for his joints and just, well, he's an old dude. We also seperate them for intervals every day to give Herk a break and so that Rio keeps responding to us.  Anyway, if you are starting to ask yourself "Is it time?" then, it probably is.  :thumbs_up1:

LOL  You are no help!  I am trying to behave.  But, I do think you are right.  The subject comes up more and more often, usually joking, but I think it is also preparing everyone for reality.  If a fluffy popped up unexpectedly, there would be no stopping me then!!

A fluffy would be wonderful!   :heart.smiley:

I would love to have one myself.  We just can't have another giant right now.  :sad1:

Hey Joanne, give Diane at Hidden Acres a call.  She's had a few in the last couple of breedings she's done.  She even had a brindle fluffy.  That would be my dream dog in a few years when my life settles down.
